And so it begins...

Well, here it is...a blank page attached to the world. I'm not quite sure why I even want a blog, but now I've got one. I don't know what it will be.
It could become an update for people who are far away and not in tune with my everyday life. It could be a way to post and track my knitting projects. I'm not yet sure. I guess I'll just start and see where it leads me.
I did have a blog as part of a work training activity. It's still up, but I wanted to make sure this one was not considered linked to work so there is no conflict and no need to be proper if I don't want to. So this one is mine and a personal blog.
Don't expect (this is addressed to the imaginary web people who may or may not ever read this) anything too personal though. I'm not really much of a 'true confessions' type. I've never been a diary keeper and have some residual irritation (or maybe minor psychological scarring) stemming from English class journals and personal essays in high school...which was quite a ways back now.
Since I've decided to put myself out in public like this (anonymousISH but not exactly incognito completely)...here's a basic intro: female, 36, married (2nd time is much better than the first turned out), over educated, employed full time (as long as the economy holds out anyway), no kids, multiple pets, hard-core Knitter (yes with a capital K), spinner (making yarn, not that weird health club stuff), living in the Northwest USA, grew up in the Midwest USA, and generally mixed in feelings about technology (including blogging, oh well).
There's a bit about me, we'll (or I'll if nobody else ever reads this) see where it goes.
